Apply for your residence permit
Non-EU citizens apply at Munich's Ausländerbehörde (KVR). Apply before your visa expires — the application itself protects your status (Fiktionsbescheinigung).
Official source1Check your permit type and gather documents
Find your category (Blue Card, work §18a/b, study, family) on the KVR pages — each lists its own checklist. Typical set: passport, biometric photo, contract, insurance proof, Anmeldung.
Passport · Biometric photo · Employment/study contract · Health insurance proof · Meldebescheinigung
